Dr Michael Carr-Gregg

One of Australia's most in demand health, lifestyle and well being speakers, Michael is also amongst Australia's leading psychologists and the author of 4 best selling books (Michael is currently working on his fifth).
In 1985, he founded the world's first national teenage cancer patients support group, Canteen - The Australian Teenage Cancer Patient's Society. He has held a variety of appointments including Executive Director of the New Zealand Drug Foundation, Director of the Centre for Social Health and in 1996 was appointed an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne.
Michael Carr-Gregg works at the Albert Road Centre for Health in Melbourne. He is a founding member of the National Coalition Against Bullying he is also chairperson of the NCAB's cybersafety committee and an official ambassador for the Australian Council for Children & Youth Organisations Inc, the National Depression Initiative - Beyondblue as well as Mindmatters - one of 16 youth suicide prevention programs run by the Federal Government
Michael has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Australian Jaycees Outstanding Young Australian of the Year (1987) and in 1997, he was made a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International in recognition of his work in the prevention of youth suicide. In 2000 he was the subject of a This is Your Life on Channel 9.
Michael has extensive experience in the media and is currently a regular on the top rating ' Sunrise' program on Channel 7 and on Melbourne radio and is a frequent contributor to the Australian Print media.
