Deborah Solomon

A graduate of the East Sydney Technical College School of Home Economics in 1979, her interest in food was well established early in life, with her mother, the legendary Charmaine Solomon being a food writer/author. Prior to entering College, she traveled around Asia with her mother as she researched the bestseller, 'The Complete Asian Cookbook', and developed familiarity with authentic Asian cooking and the skill to transcribe the recipes demonstrated to us. After graduating from College, she took a variety of positions in the food industry including recipe development for Woman' World/ Women's Day magazines, cooking businessmen's lunches and being second chef for eighteen months in a northside Sydney restaurant, Quincy's.
