Your extras bills
MBF members can make extras claims in three ways - either by MBF AutoClaim, online or manually. Regardless of the payment method, any benefits you receive from extras healthcare providers are subject to the limits and waiting periods of your cover. You will be responsible for paying any extras 'gap' at the time of the service. Please remember you can only claim for extra services provided by an MBF Recognised Provider.
MBF AutoClaim
MBF AutoClaim is the most convenient claiming method. It is available at participating dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and opticians who simply swipe your MBF Member card. The claim is automatically handled between the healthcare provider and MBF. MBF will then send you a benefit statement confirming the benefit paid.
Online Claims
Where you have paid the provider in full for the service you can also claim for selected extras like dental, optical, physiotherapy and chiropractic, quickly and conveniently online through myMBF. Simply login or register with myMBF from the home page of this site. There are five steps on the online form to submit a claim. In many instances your Benefit will be credited to your nominated account within 3 business days.
Manual Claims
The second option involves submitting a written claim form. Claim forms can be obtained through Member self-service or at MBF Centres. Complete the form and attach the relevant original accounts and/or receipts from the provider You can submit this paperwork either in person at an MBF Centre or via the mail (no postage stamp required) to the following address:
MBF Australia Limited
Reply Paid 3382
Sydney NSW 2001
If you have paid the account, MBF will issue you a cheque, or you can choose to have the benefit directly credited to your nominated bank, building society or credit union account via MBF Direct Credit.
If you have not yet paid the account, MBF will return a benefit cheque made payable to your provider either directly to you or to the provider. If you receive the benefit cheque, you need to forward it the provider. Either way, you will be responsible for any extras 'gap' payable to your provider.
