Overseas Visitors' Cover
You want to make the most of your time in Australia. To help you do that, you need quality health cover that will help you meet unexpected healthcare costs during your stay.
As a visitor, you may not be covered by Medicare, the public health funding system that offers medical and hospital care to eligible Australian residents and citizens. Without adequate health cover, you may find yourself spending your hard-earned holiday money on medical or Hospital Treatments.
MBF Overseas Visitors' Cover helps pay for your healthcare costs, such as hospital and some medical charges incurred, while you're in Australia. It is ideal if you:
- Are planning a visit to Australia of less than 12 months
- Are not a resident of Australia
- Do not have adequate travel insurance with a medical component
- Do not have full Medicare or other health insurance cover (you may have limited Medicare cover - see below)
- Are a citizen of Norfolk Island (please note: limited benefits are payable for services rendered on Norfolk Island)
