All levels of MBF hospital cover help pay for in-patient hospital-related treatments where Medicare pays a benefit, providing standard conditions including waiting periods are met.

  • MBF Budget Hospital

    MBF Budget Hospital

    If you're fit, young and healthy and not planning to have children you can save with a lower premium. Excludes some services not relevant to your stage of life.

    • Pays for most in-patient hospital treatments
    • 100% cover for most government-approved surgically implanted prostheses
    • Certain therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy when provided by the hospital
  • MBF Standard Hospital

    MBF Standard Hospital

    For the young and healthy, MBF Standard Hospital pays for most in-patient hospital treatments. Excludes some services not relevant to your stage of life.

    • Pays for most in-patient hospital treatments
    • Emergency ambulance transport
    • Cardiac and cardiac related services
  • MBF Advantage Hospital

    MBF Advantage Hospital

    If you would like hospital cover that doesn't exclude any specific services or treatments and there is no Excess or Co-payment for any children covered by your membership who are admitted to hospital.

    • Cardiac and cardiac related services
    • Cataract and eye lens proceedures
    • Renal dialysis for chronic renal failure
  • MBF Premium Hospital

    MBF Premium Hospital

    Our highest level of hospital cover. You'll receive special benefits and you won't need to pay an Excess or Co-payment for day surgery procedures.

    • Cardiac and cardiac related services
    • Joint replacement including revisions

All levels of MBF extras cover standard services, which include: emergency ambulance transport, general dental, preventative dental, optical, physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, pharmacy, accident cover and complementary therapies.

  • MBF Young Extras

    MBF Young Extras

    Designed for the fit, young and healthy, MBF Young Extras covers a limited range of services at a very competitive premium.

    • Up to $350 back on combined general & preventative dental services
    • Up to $180 back for optical services
    • Up to $350 back for physiotherapy, chiropractic and osteopathy services combined
  • MBF Everyday Extras

    MBF Everyday Extras

    Cover for a wider range of services than MBF Young Extras. Only available in combination with MBF hospital cover.

    • No annual limit on preventative dental, up to $300 back on general dental services
    • Up to $215 back for optical services (such as frames, contact lenses)
    • Up to $200 back for complementary therapies (such as naturopathy, Feldenkrais, remedial massage etc)
  • MBF Classic Extras

    MBF Classic Extras

    Broad range of services covered, including orthodontics as well as health management aids and appliances.

    • Up to $800 back on major dental services, $2,000 lifetime limit on orthodontics
    • Up to $250 back for optical services combined
    • Up to $750 back for physiotherapy, chiropractic and osteopathy combined
  • MBF Premium Extras

    MBF Premium Extras

    Our highest level of extras cover. Receive the greatest benefits overall, including cover for hearing aids.

    • Up to $1300 back on major dental services, $2,500 lifetime limit on orthodontics
    • Up to $400 back for optical services combined
    • Up to $900 back for physiotherapy, chiropractic and osteopathy combined
  • MBF Choices

    MBF Choices

    Ideal for healthy young singles and couples, MBF Choices gives you great value cover for the things you may use most.

    • Hospital services such as emergency ambulance transport, removal of tonsils, wisdom teeth, appendicitis treatment
    • Combined limit of $300 for general, preventative and major dental (with special feature to increase limit if you get yearly preventative dental check-ups)
    • Flexi limits – split your optical, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, complementary therapies services in the mix you want
  • MBF HealthSmart

    MBF HealthSmart

    For health insurance that combines hospital and extras cover in the one convenient package. Suitable for those singles or couples not planning on having children.

    • Special feature to increase dental limit if you maintain a yearly preventative dental check-up
    • Up to $750 back for selected health management aids and appliances
    • Up to $450 back on complementary therapies (such as naturopathy, Feldenkrais, remedial massage etc)
