Trouble Shooting

The service is really slow. Why does it take so long for me to access it?

As long as you are running Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 (or greater) or Netscape Navigator version 4.7 (or greater) you should be able to access the site successfully. A number of factors can affect the speed of your Internet connection. Things such as the speed at which your modem has connected to your ISP, the number of other connections your ISP is currently handling and the amount of traffic on the Internet itself all impact on the speed of your connection.

Secure sites contain a lot more data than the equivalent unsecured site and this also contributes to the speed of accessing the site.

One last thing to note is that you will generally experience faster Internet performance during off-peak hours. Off peak times are during weekdays and after midnight. Peak Internet times are evenings and weekends.

What if the service is unavailable?

If you receive a message saying the service is unavailable please try clicking the Refresh button on your browser at the top of the screen. If the service is still unavailable please try again later. Service interruptions are rare, but if one does occur MBF will work to get the service back online as soon as possible. Alternatively, please use one of the other payment methods listed on your bill/notice.

The system logged me out without notice. What shall I do?

Our system automatically logs you out after 30 minutes use. If this happens simply log back in. This security feature helps ensure that no unauthorised access of your payment details occurs.
