Dental Awareness in August
Release date: 1 August 2009

Often we don't appreciate the importance of good teeth until something happens to them.
But at MBF, we are committed to protecting your most valuable asset - your health - even when you're fit and healthy. And we do this for one simple reason: we believe that prevention is better than cure.
That's one of the reasons why MBF has partnered with Oral B to promote the importance of protecting your teeth throughout August as part of Dental Awareness Week.
There are many things you can do to keep your teeth healthy and looking good. Brushing and regular flossing are important for good oral hygiene. Snack on foods that are less acidic or sweet such as cheese, nuts, apples, carrots or celery . Find a dentist and stick with them because you are more likely to go for regular preventive dental checkups.
Most of all, developing and maintaining good health habits reduces your risk of disease and illness - and chances are your teeth will benefit too. Establishing good health habits as early in life as possible means that you may enjoy a longer, healthier, happier life.
Did you know that if you leave tea in a porcelain cup overnight, it would stain the cup? Your teeth are similar so remember to brush your teeth after drinking tea or coffee...think about the cup stains!
