The MBF Australia Pty Limited Annual Report for 2006-2007 marks another year of strong financial performance and our progress in implementing the Group's strategy of growth and diversification.

All of our businesses - MBF Australia Pty Limited and MBF Alliances (private health insurance), MBF Travel (travel insurance) and MBF Life and ClearView Retirement Solutions (financial services) - contributed to the Group's positive performance.

'Growing together' is an appropriate theme for the presentation of the Group's financial accounts for 2006-2007 as we continue to address customers' needs with an expanded offering in health, financial and lifestyle security.

The growing together theme is also relevant to our objective of becoming a truly national provider of private health insurance and to participate in the anticipated rationalisation of the industry.

MBF Australia Pty Limited has adhered to the same disciplines and accountabilities that would be expected of a publicly listed company. This approach has contributed to building the Group's financial strength, which in turn has helped prepare MBF for its next big step in its future growth.

Improved efficiency, enhanced customer service and other advances have also helped to pave the way for MBF's proposed demutualisation and listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Our consistently strong financial performance has made MBF an industry leader, enabled us to increase total health benefits in 2006-2007 by $117 million and to keep our premium increase in 2007 to below the industry average.

The MBF Foundation Annual Report for 2006-2007 outlines the Foundation's growing portfolio of activities targeting obesity, healthy ageing and promoting wellness.
